Quelle est son histoire ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>B\u00e2timent embl\u00e9matique du front de mer de Saint-Paul, l\u2019histoire de l\u2019h\u00f4tel Lacay reste parsem\u00e9e de myst\u00e8res : aujourd\u2019hui encore, le nom de son architecte et sa date de construction restent inconnus car sa description est absente des actes de vente du d\u00e9but du XIXe si\u00e8cle. Le premier document officiel le concernant date du 18 ao\u00fbt 1816, jour o\u00f9 le terrain est rachet\u00e9 aux \u00e9poux Robin par l\u2019entreprise de marine \u201cLouis Marie B\u00e9dier et compagnie\u201d. En effet son emplacement en face de la mer et des d\u00e9barcad\u00e8res en fait un choix privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 pour les entrepreneurs de marine* qui d\u00e9veloppent leurs activit\u00e9s suite \u00e0 la r\u00e9trocession de l\u2019\u00eele par les Anglais en 1815. C\u2019est ensuite Paul Lacay, boucher d\u2019origine bretonne, qui donne au b\u00e2timent son nom d\u00e9finitif et transforme la maison de ma\u00eetre en h\u00f4tel, avant qu\u2019il ne soient d\u00e9di\u00e9 aux bureaux des Marines r\u00e9unies.
